Kylie is a really great character! While she is a teenager she is not the typical overly angsty whiny sort you often encounter in YA books. She has her down moments but nothing where I felt like skipping ahead!
I am so torn in the whole love triangle. I really like both guys and am having trouble picking one to root for, I can really empathize with her! Loved the scene where she gets her, um, growth spurt! LOL
And when we going to discover what she is? I have ideas but nothing definite. I am desperate to know!
All the characters are wonderfully engaging and the story is beautifully paced. I never had a moment where I was bored or wanted to stop reading. Really refreshing series with a creative well thought out world.
I listened to the audiobook narrated by Katie Schorr. She does a fantastic job with all the characters voices. Each one is distinct and stays consistent. She reads at a great pace, I prefer a brisk speed and so do most of the teens I know. I love how she makes Kylie more engaging and dynamic with subtle changes in her tone and pitch.
This is a great series and at the end of each book I am eager to jump into the next!! Great for any young adult who likes paranormal reads! Both the guys and girls in my teen book club are captivated by this series!
