No Turning Back

No Turning Back - Tiffany Snow, Angela Dawe Check out my other listens at Eargasms Audiobook Reviews

Great Romantic Suspense! Plenty of wonderful action to keep you on your toes. This is the first book in the series and it does a nice job of setting up the main characters.

Kathleen Turner really quirky and fun to read. The whole book is from her POV, which makes all the relationships really one sided. I generally like to know what the guy is thinking as well. Kathleen is like a younger less hardened Stephanie Plum. She falls into trouble, definitely has a knack for being in the wrong place at the right time. While not wholly street savvy, she did have a cop for a father, which puts her ahead of most gals in the self defense department. Although, I did get annoyed at her TSTL moves, there is a big difference between independent woman and murder bait!

Blane is yummy and over-protective at times, then there is the dark and delicious Kade, how is a girl to choose? Sadly this is mainstream, which makes a wicked menage very unlikely. I am spoiled by my erotic romances, they don't make me choose! Either guy is great on his own but together they would be epic!

The steam factor is very yummy. You get a few smexy scenes but not as detailed as an erotic. Still yummy and temperature altering!!

I listened to the audiobook read by the fabulous Angela Dawe. She has a real way of making Kathleen come to life, not to whiny but instilled with a sense of youth. Her males voices have just the right deep timber. Oh la, Kane sounds delicious! She does a wonderful job of keeping each voice distinct and consistent. She has a terrific pace that makes the story move along quickly. She has a gift for adding energy into the narration.

The suspense portion of the story was terrific, exciting and engaging throughout. Lots going on, many nefarious players in action. There did seem to be a touch more exposition going on at times, which caused the book to lag every now and again. In the end, it was a very enjoyable read and I am eager to see what is in store for the series.
