Check out my other listens at Eargasms Audiobook ReviewsI am torn on this one. It is a fantasy read and the second in a series. I was unaware I was reading the second book and now I feel like I need to backtrack to the first to get a fuller picture of the world.
I liked Rowen from the start and she is a really engaging character. Mostly I liked Grantland, well when he wasn't being bigoted jerk.
The story moves along rather quickly and a lot is crammed into a short time.
The steam is hot and heavy. A couple really steam scenes. I would have liked one more at the end.
I think if I had read this as part of the series I would have understood more and really liked the story.It may have helped to have been in a fantasy mood as well.
Sofia London does a solid job on the narration of the audiobook. Good voices and a nice steady pace. Not amazing bout no real complaints about the quality either.
Overall good story but not really what I was craving at the moment.
