I really enjoyed this book. Ava Lee is like a modern lesbian Colombo. People underestimate her because she is so low key. That is the trap that trips them up! She is a surprisingly bad ass chick you would not want to meet in a dark ally.
The story is very well written and the characters engaging. The pace was dead on and the story never had a lull. I am now a fan of Ava and will have to go back and check out the first book in the series.
I love a good mystery and this one had plenty of intrigue.
Although Ava is a lesbian it is not a major factor in the stories. It is simply a part of who she is and rather subtle.
Cover Art - The version I received had a cool gun graphic on the cover. It would definitely spark my interest.
