Wild Wet and Wicked in Whispering Cove

Wild Wet and Wicked in Whispering Cove - Cathryn Fox, Nikki Duncan, Mackenzie McKade Wild in Whispering Cove (Whispering Cove, #1)
This is a really interesting anthology, each story is written by a different author but follows the same timeline in a small Maine town.

The story reminded me of the Harlequins I grew up reading. Very sweet and endearing, plenty of comedy from the three old men. Not a lot of surprise here, it stayed fairly true to the old formula.

The big difference was the steam!! Holy hot and heavy! If my old romances had smexy scenes like these I never would have stopped reading them! These two are seriously combustible!

The split narrative is great and very clearly established. You never have to wonder whose POV you are reading. While I really liked Brody, Andrea was too cold most of the book. The love story just felt a touch hollow at times.

It definitely draws you into the series and I am now eager to see what happens with the other two couples. You get a few hints throughout this book as to what will happen next. I am wondering how the grandfathers bet will pan out!

Wet in Whispering Cove (Whispering Cove, #2)
Another reunited love story. This one is also very Harlequin-esque, except for loads of smexy stuff!!!
I liked Katy and Trent a lot more than the first couple in the series.

Katy is fun and sassy, but she has made mistakes in he past. Trent was a bit of a punk in my opinion. If the girl you love leaves you to find a career you should not give up and become a playboy. The resolution was a touch simple in my opinion. The writing was very well done and the pace flowed nicely. It just felt too rushed in the events, more time would have made the story more believable.

I really enjoyed the writing but was not feeling the back-story, I guess I would have liked a little more drama. I am still a fan of the Grandfathers and all their plotting. This is a fun short read but it missed the mark in the romance.

Oh, the steam was hot!!! I am talking set someone on fire hot!!! This was a place that nothing was lacking! OMG, I need to be hosed off myself!

I am still drawn into the series and hope the next anthology will hold more depth for the characters.

Wicked in Whispering Cove (Whispering Cove, #3)
I really liked this book all the way up until the ending, way too soon. I would have been fine for them deciding to have a long term relationship, but marriage after a few days is too much.

Braydon is a very interesting guy and he does a complete 180 at the end of the book. Danica is sweet and clumsy. I really liked her, especially when she found her sass!

This was also very much along the lines of old Harlequins I read in my youth. Kind of formula but still entertaining.

The thing that set this apart from those sweet romances is the bedroom door is not closed!! You get to read all the naughty steamy details!! Hot dang, things are really smoking in this town!

The grandfathers are another highlight if the series, can't wait to see what they will scheme next! These stories are sweet and smexy at the same time, I can easily see myself addicted!
